About us

At Emugen Ghana, we are dedicated to the development and successful implementation of Sustainable Renewable Energy Solutions which replace fossil fuel powered generation facilities.

We are developing and plan to implement a biomass electricity generation and pellet manufacturing plant in Ghana.

Our Approach

We will implement electricity solutions and methodologies that will address the power and energy challenges faced by Ghana and other African Nations. In addition, we will manufacture Biomass pellets to enable the reduction of Carbon Emissions from electricity generation around the world whilst simultaneously providing an economic stimulation programme to the agriculture sector within the country.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to facilitate employment and development opportunities, thereby advancing economic growth whilst positively impacting the nation financially and environmentally, all while providing a clean energy solution and meeting some of the key Sustainable Development Goals as set by the United Nations General Assembly.

Technology – Biomass Gasification Electricity Generation

Our Biomass Gasification technology uses Syngas to drive generators to produce electric charge which will flow through an external electrical circuit into the nation’s electricity grid.

In the Biomass Gasification process, solid fuels are converted into a combustible gas mixture commonly called Producer or Syngas. Our Biomass Gasifiers will produce Syngas from the incomplete combustion of biomass such as Elephant Grass, woodchip, sawdust, bagasse, rice husk and agricultural waste. This gas is then used to power generators as a replacement for fossil fuels, producing green electricity.

Biomass is a renewable energy source that comes from plant material. Thus, the process is Carbon Neutral: whilst biomass conversion in a power generating facility releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, this is balanced by carbon absorption by the crop during the lifetime of its growth.

Technology – Biomass Pellet Manufacturing

The international consensus is that energy security, efficiency and environmental conservation are crucial to economic sustainability. This along with a commitment to address climate change and reduce CO² emissions on an international basis, not only guarantees environmental conservation, it also simultaneously cultivates an environment which is conducive to economic sustainability, and growth.

Emugen is actively involved in the identification, implementation and development of renewable technologies that reduce Carbon Emissions whilst generating energy. Our response to the increasing demand worldwide for Biomass Pellets, which is a renewable low carbon fuel alternative to coal is to build and operate a pellet manufacturing facility.

The process of manufacturing pellets involves placing ground Biomass under high pressure and forcing it through a round opening called a “die”. Under appropriate conditions, the Biomass “fuses” together forming a solid mass. This process is known as “extrusion”.

Methodology

Our methodology integrates the Energy and Agriculture sectors of developing nations, generating employment and entrepreneurial opportunities whilst simultaneously delivering realisable revenues that increase the national GDP.

Developed in partnership with several associates, our methodology utilises the natural resources available to provide economic growth for local communities and businesses.

Ultimately, this methodology aids the achievement of sustainable economic development.

Services

Consulting

Paramount to the development of any renewable energy plan is to identify the needs of the nation. Emugen Ghana and its team of specialist advisors and associates have a breadth of experience and knowledge in key areas of renewable energy solutions, strategic development and implementation.

We employ a two stage approach to the development and implementation of our renewable energy plan.

Stage 1: Technology needs assessment

The realisable benefit is a thorough understanding of energy requirements for the nation, the availability of appropriate technologies and a clear understanding of the requirements to deliver a renewable energy plan.

Stage 2: Development of a renewable energy plan

For implementation based on the outputs derived from the technology assessment: The realisable benefits will be the identification and planning of the pre-requisites to ensure successful implementation of a renewable energy plan for Ghana. In addition, it will identify areas where local consumption of hydrocarbons can be reduced. Finally, it will explore the revenue generation possibilities for the country in relation to the agricultural sector.
